There are situations in which you need to use a proxy server to connect to the Internet. The problem is that some Windows applications don't have any proxy configuration possibilities and connect directly to the Internet. In this case, you could use AllProxy, a Windows program which allows you to set different proxies for each Windows program.

With AllProxy, you will be able to use applications which normally cannot be used with a proxy connection. After the program has been installed and launched, the user first needs to add proxies into the application. For this, he will need to add the proxy address, port, and select its type. Optionally, one can configure a username and password, in case the proxy requires authentication.

After configuring the desired proxy or list of proxies, the user will need to configure various rules, according to the application that will use the proxy server. For this, the user will just need to select the executable file that will use the proxy. AllProxy supports virtually any kind of application that requires an Internet connection. An unlimited number of rules can be configured for the application, each containing settings for a specific program.

In case AllProxy needs to be re-installed, the user can save the application's configuration, including the list of rules, to a backup file, which can then be imported into the application.

Pros

It allows you to configure several proxy servers. Besides that, each application can have its own proxy server configured. What's more, the program's configuration can be saved to a file, for re-importing it later on.

Cons

There is no option for importing a list of proxy servers from a text file. AllProxy allows you to easily configure the proxy server for each application, separately.
